Getting used to English from babies

At Babalu we understand the importance for children to get an early start to learning English. For that reason English classes are given twice a week to all the children aged 1 and up.

The classes are given by a native English speaking teacher with the help of her friendly British bear, Paddington. The syllabus of the classes follows what the children are learning in the normal Spanish course. By doing this we hope to enhance the learning and understanding of both the Spanish and English languages.

We want the children to enjoy the classes. Therefore, as well as using visual material, there are lots of songs, stories and fun games to play in addition to monthly cooking classes in English. One game the children love to play is to dress up Paddington in winter clothes. When the teacher tries to put the hat on Paddington’s feet or the shoes on his nose, the children find this very funny and enjoy telling the teacher that she is wrong.

Acostumbrarse al inglés desde bebes

En Babalú entendemos la importancia para los niños de comenzar el contacto temprano con el aprendizaje del idioma inglés. Este es el motivo por el cual se imparten clases 2 veces a la semana para todos los niños de más de un año.

Las clases las imparte una profesora nativa con la ayuda de su simpático osito británico, Paddington. El programa de las clases sigue lo que los niños aprenden en el curso de español. Haciendo esto esperamos realzar el aprendizaje y la comprensión tanto de la lengua española como de la inglesa.

Queremos que los niños disfruten de las clases. Por lo tanto, de la misma forma que utilizamos material visual, hay muchas canciones, historias y divertidos juegos para disfrutar, además de clases de cocina mensuales en inglés. Un juego que encanta a los niños es el de vestir a Paddington con ropa de invierno. Cuando la profesora trata de poner el sombrero en los pies de Paddington o los zapatos sobre su nariz, los niños lo encuentran muy gracioso y disfrutan diciendo a la profesora que ella se equivoca.

A los padres se les informa sobre el programa para cada trimestre, de forma que si dispusieran de tiempo, puedan ayudar a los niños a practicar en casa. Si tuvieras cualquier pregunta sobre la clase de inglés estamos aquí para ayudaros.
